With a distinguished career in healthcare leadership, she has driven innovation and excellence at Woodlands Hospital and Apollo Hospitals, Kolkata. She is a graduate of R.G. Kar Medical College, Kolkata, with post-graduation in Health and Hospital Management from several universities.

She was among the first group of Indian scholars to attend structured training in JCI accreditation at Harvard Medical International, USA, helping her play a pioneering role in bringing quality systems and accreditation to healthcare in India since 2004.

She launched the first private super-specialty comprehensive oncology hospital in Eastern India, commissioned the first multi-organ transplant services with the first green corridor, and introduced a robotic surgery unit — among many other firsts.
